James A. Hund Background
Mr. Hund graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor's degree in 1971. He graduated from CMU in 1975 with an EdS. degree in school psychology. He began his professional career in 1973 at Barry Intermediate School District as a school psychologist. Later, he became the district's supervisor of special education. In later years, he was appointed Director of Special Education. Mr. Hund was appointed Interim Superintendent in December 2002. Mr. Hund has spent thirty-three years at the district, most of it in administration and the last 3 1/2 as superintendent. Mission Statement Barry ISD will provide the best services possible to its constituent districts given the resources available. Community Service
Mr. Hund participated in the November 2006 Lock-Up to raise funds for the MDA
