BISD Social Work

BISD School Social Workers provide the following services to its constituent districts:
  • working with students to clarify thoughts and feelings and enhance communication skills with others
  • devising academic motivation plans
  • crisis intervention, counseling, consultations
  • accessing school and community resources
  • providing parent education and professional development
  • providing outreach services
  • providing special education evaluations

Staff

Terri Davis-Cairns

Ellen Mazique-Sydloski
Ellen has a Master's Degree and 9 years of experience in school social work. She came to BISD in Fall 2002. She has School Social Work Certification from the State of Michigan and is a Certified Social Worker. You can reach Ellen by e-mail or at (269) 945-9545 ext. 158

Michelle Kaminski
Michelle has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a Master's degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University. She worked for two years as a School Social Worker at Lenawee ISD before coming to Barry ISD in Fall 2005. You can reach Michelle by e-mail or at (269) 945-9545 ext. 127
