BISD Hearing Impaired Program

Through the Hearing Impaired program, BISD offers the following services to its constituent districts:

• Direct instruction to students in accordance with their needs as designated by the IEPC.
• Evaluation, including tests, observations and consultations, of children.
• Consultant services for administrators, teachers, parents and other school personnel as appropriate.
• Coordination and presentation of in-service workshops for teachers working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students in their classrooms.
