Attendance Services
The Barry ISD superintendent is
designated as attendance officer for the constituent K-12 school districts. A truancy
referral procedure allows local districts to report students with excessive absences.
Follow up services include parents contacts, truancy hearings, assistance to students and
referrals to county law enforcement agencies.

Pupil Accounting
Barry ISD works with local school districts ensuring that both the local districts and the ISD
have an accurate count of students to generate their state aid. The Michigan Department of Education provides a strict set of procedures that must be
followed for districts to qualify for state aid. The pupil accounting department assures that these procedures are followed and that student counts are accurate.
